Hello! I'm John, founder of John of All Trades, a home services company serving Philadelphia homeowners. We handle everything from skilled repairs to full home renovations and custom builds.

My background is a bit different from most contractors. I studied music performance and specialized in instrument repair—work that takes precision, patience, and a knack for troubleshooting until things are exactly right. Those are the same skills I bring to every home project, and they're what helped a one-man handyman business grow into a full team.

These days, the business takes on complete renovations, custom projects, and the day-to-day needs of maintaining and updating your home. Custom kitchens are my favorite—they're where craftsmanship really shows, and they make a bigger difference in daily life than any other room in the house.

I've been living in Philadelphia since 2016, and I love working on this city's homes. Row homes, condos, hundred-fifty-year-old historic construction —no two are alike. Figuring out the right solution for each home is the best part of the job.
